  • Dr. Arthur Hulshizer, Owner

    Dr. Hulshizer (a.k.a Dr.Bud) graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.  He also received a Master of Science Degree in Biology from East Stroudsburg University in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture in 1985. Dr. Hulshizer is originally from the Phillipsburg, NJ area.  He has worked at several private veterinary hospitals in the area over the years including 4 years at a local emergency hospital before starting his own practice. He has over 22 years experience in private practice as a veterinarian and 4 years as an emergency veterinarian.  In his spare time, he enjoys touring New England's lighthouses and cheering for the New Orleans Saints.

  • Dr. Kelli Carpenter

    Joining the practice in September of 2013, Dr Carpenter is a 1994 graduate of Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has been a practicing small animal veterinarian for over twenty years, having worked at three other practices before joining CVP.  In her free time she enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, reading and training her dogs for obedience competitions.  Besides three collies, Dr Carpenter also shares her home with six cats.

  • Jane Coxe, CVT

    Jane graduated from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pa as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 1998. She has studied both large and small animals at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to graduation, Jane worked as a chemical research technician with Air Products and Chemical for 15 years. She has also worked at or managed several local veterinary hospitals before joining Dr. Hulshizer at CVP in 2006.  In her spare time Jane enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, attending Bruce Springsteen concerts and following her Chicago Cubs.

  • Lori Biege, CVT

    Lori joined the team in November of 2011 while enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Northampton and Lehigh Carbon Community Colleges .  She graduated from the program in 2013 and passed the state board exam.  Lori has been a pet owner for over 20 years.  She and her family presently provide a loving home to their dog, Libby, and their cats, Marley and Faith, each of whom they adopted.  In addition, Lori has experience with the general husbandry and care of amphibians and reptiles, through her sons menagerie of animals.  In her spare time Lori enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

  • Denise Grello, Lead Receptionist

    Denise previously worked for a veterinarian in New Jersey before joining the CVP team in 2008.  Her family consists of her husband Angelo and their teenage daughter Jessica.  Their 2 cats, Daisy and Buttercup,  enjoy sleeping and eating Temptations cat treats.  Rocki, their hypo citrus bearded dragon,  enjoys sitting in the window watching nature.  In her free time Denise enjoys watching her daughter play tennis, attending art events with her husband and baking.

  • Janelle Flyte, Receptionist/Tech Assistant

    Janelle joined our team in April of 2013 as a part-time receptionist. In April 2016 she became full time and has also been working as a technician assistant. She has several years of experience working in the veterinary field doing everything from a kennel worker to a veterinary assistant. She has a dog named Bruno, and several feline fur kids.  In her free time she enjoys going out to eat and walking her dog at the lake.

  • Joanne Deremer

    Joanne joined the CVP team in November 2016. She has over 20 years experience as a veterinary technician. Currently she has 1 dog, 2 cats, a guinea pig and some fish. Joanne enjoys spending times outdoors with her family; husband Charlie, son Josh and 2 daughters Adrianna and Veronica. They enjoy hiking, biking and swimming together, Joanne also enjoys reading and skiing. She loves the change in seasons but her favorite time of year is the fall. During sports season she will be in the stands watching her daughter play field hockey or cheering on her son in Cross Country or Track and Field, always encouraging them to not only do their best but also enjoy what they are doing.

  • Tara Uhnak-Receptionist

    Tara joined CVP in June 2017 as a part time receptionist, and has worked in a veterinary practice for 10 years, with prior doggie daycare and pet sitting experience. She graduated from DeSales University in 2003 with a Biology degree and worked for Praxair as a chemist and in sales prior to joining CVP. Tara is married and has 2 sons and a Chinese Crested. She also fosters for a Chinese Crested rescue and has a pet sitting business-so there is always a menagerie of dogs at her house! In her spare time she enjoys gardening and anything outdoors with her family.

  • Copper - Office Assistant

    Copper is an orange domestic shorthair who joined the CVP family in the very beginning in 2006.  He can often be found in the office helping Jane with paperwork. She likes to call him her paperweight.   He enjoys playing in his water bowl and napping. He always knows when there is a girl cat in the waiting room, that is when you might have a Copper sighting out front.
  • Levi - Greeter

    Levi is is an orange domestic shorthair who joined the CVP family in 2009.  He is usually at the front desk to greet anyone who walks through the door.  He enjoys helping the girls at the front desk by laying on their charts and standing in front of the computer screen when they are trying to type.  In his free time he enjoys playing with his stuffed animals, napping and stealing your chair if you get up.
